We set out Saturday night for Ludlow, VT. After reasearching area hotels off Route 91 we checked the local amenities quick to make sure we were getting the best, closest deal possible. We booked an $80 room at Happy Trails Motel and hoped for the best since it was so close, had a view of the whole mountain from the parking lot but was relatively cheap. We arrived at a clean and quiet place where we had the whole floor to ourselves ... the whole thing.

The next morning we woke around 8 and headed out for breakfast. We found Cafe at deLight and scored a breakfast for two with eggs, bacon, homefries and coffee for 15 bux! Great place with friendly service. Then we were off the the mountain, with our 3 canned goods each, which allowed us each to get $25 lift ticks for the day. The mountain was in great shape ... the trails to Jackson Gore are open ... some park features are set up ... a few kickers ... lots of natural hits and rollers are developing for all-mountain freestylin'. After about 12 runs we called it a day because my girl was feelin the 1st day burn. I am very glad I got her into riding and even more so now that she comes down the run with a smile on her face instead of a wince from learning falls. The season is just beginning ... get out and ride!!!!!
